It’s easy, fun, and economical to use Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® products to create a themed party for kids or adults. They’re perfect for birthday parties, baby showers, family reunions, company picnics, or holiday gatherings.

Here’s how to assemble all the pieces.

• Party Invitations: Use Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plates as party invitations that coordinate with your theme. Hand-print on the back of the plate and deliver these innovative invitations to your guests. Or, print out all the invitation information on labels and adhere them to the plates.
• Home-made Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Character Cake: Use a round cake pan (8-9”) for the main body, and two cupcakes to create the smaller pieces. Then decorate the cake like your child’s favorite animal using different frostings and icings found in the baking section of the store.
• Bakery-made Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Character Cake: Take a plate to your favorite bakery and ask them to put the image on a cake for you. Some will do it free-hand, and others may actually scan the image in, in much the same way they do portrait cakes.
• Party Decorations: You can use Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plates in many different ways to decorate. Simply hang the plates around the room by taping to walls, hanging individually from strings, or creating a chain (see Crafts Section).

• Table Setting: Pick up some Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plates. Then, depending upon your needs, add to them with some Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Bowls, Funtensils^® and Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Cups. Find some brightly colored napkins and a tablecloth, which can be found at any mass merchant or grocery and instantly you have a great coordinated table setting any kid would enjoy.
• Party Games: Here are a couple of game ideas. Use these or let your imagination soar.
  • Animal Charades. Invert a stack of Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plates on a table, making sure to have only one of each type of animal. The first child comes up, selects a plate from the stack (without letting the others see). He/she acts out clues about that animal, without talking or making noises, until the other children guess the animal. He/she the reveals the plate when the correct answer is guessed.
  • “Who Am I?” Party Mixer Game. Tape a different Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plate to the back of each child’s shirt. The children must mingle around the room, asking the other children questions that can be answered with a “yes” or “no, to try to figure out which animal they are. When a child thinks he/she has figured out his animal, he yells out “Am I a ______?”. If he/she is correct, he stops mingling and goes off to enjoy a refreshment. If he is incorrect, he continues mingling and inquiring among the remaining players.
• Party Favors: Give each child their choice of their favorite Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Plate character to take home with them. You can also use Hefty^® Zoo Pals^® Cups or Bowls and drop in candy or other small party charms. Hand out to party guests at the end of the party as a little thank you for coming.
