- Memory Game.
Select up to 6 pairs of Hefty® Zoo Pals® Plates and shuffle them. Lay them out face down on the table. The child tries to find matched pairs by turning over two plates at a time. If the plates don’t match, they are returned to the upside down position. The child tries again with a different pair; when he/she finds a matched pair, that pair remains right side up. The game is over when all pairs are revealed correctly.

- Counting.
You can play numerous counting games and do simple math problems. Place beans (or marbles, coins, etc) in one of the small compartments on the Hefty® Zoo Pals® Plates. Let the child count the beans as he/she moves them to the other compartment Pretend the animal eats a bean, how many are left?
- Fun Flashcards.
Use Hefty® Zoo Pals® Plates like flashcards to practice animal names, colors and sounds. Have your child pick one or two animals and look up information about those animals together in the dictionary, encyclopedia or online. Great way to teach your child how to research.

- Word/Plate Match.
Write out the names of the animals on small pieces of paper and lay out on the table. Let the child match up the right Hefty® Zoo Pals® Plate with the word for that animal. Great for kids learning to read.

- Public Speaking/Creativity.
Use the Hefty® Zoo Pals® Plates as puppets or masks and act out classic children’s stories and fables. Try the Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the Tortoise and the Hare, or the Princess and the Frog. For added fun have the actors improvise and come up with their own story. Helps kids feel more comfortable in front of a crowd.
